Subject: Meeting with BAT

Dear colleagues,

Here is draft report for this morning's meeting. Thanks for your
comments/corrections by today cob.

COM (
, and
of TRADE C1,
 of
TRADE F2,
of TRADE D3,
of AGRI B1) had a meeting this
morning with BAT

).
The objective of this meeting was to follow up on their request regarding the
discriminations they claim they are facing in
 (see letter
to KDG, our reply and their second reply all attached).
Discussions focused on the 3 types of
measures that are
problematic:

Next steps:
BAT would like to have a follow up meeting by the end of June where they
would present the additional info requested. They also offered to provide
concrete evidence of the discrimination in
when the COM goes there
in July. Clearly they now want to know whether it will be possible to raise
their case in the negotiating context.
