Dear European Council,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as
developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting access to any
documents containing the words "SitCen" or "Joint Situation Centre"
or "Intcen"
from 2001 to the present day.
I am a journalist based in Brussels and I am investigating the
history
of intelligence co-operation between EU countries.
I believe it is in the public interest to find out how the EU
intelligence-sharing cell was brought to life and how it oeprates
today.
Please send the documents to me in electronic format.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Rettman

Dear Mr Rettman,
The Transparency Service registered your request for access to documents
on the History and functions of INTCEN/SITCEN on 3 July 2012 (our
reference: 12/1176).
In the request, you ask for "any documents containing the words "SitCen"
or "Joint Situation Centre" or "IntCen". At first sight, such a request
would entail the examination of a very large number of documents, this
would take a long time.
For this reason, we would like to know if the request can be understood as
concerning all documents mentioning the words "SitCen" or "Joint Situation
Centre" or "IntCen" and referring to the creation, evolution and operation
of INTCEN/SITCEN.
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Yours sincerely,
General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union

impossible.
But yes, I am interested in all the information that you can make
public about the operation and creation of SitCen/IntCen.
habe any of their reports to the PSC been declassified?
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Rettman
