UK High Speed rail proposals

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, European Union Agency for Railways should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear European Railway Agency,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Any information relating to the design of track, infrastructure or rolling stock for the proposed ultra high speed railway in the UK. This information may be contained in communications between the European Railway Agency and the Department for Transport of the UK government, or between the European Railway Agency and HS2 Ltd.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Paul Thornton

Dear European Railway Agency,

I have just submitted the following message via your public contact form at the link below.

European Railway Agency

Dear Sir or Madam,

I refer to a request for information that I submitted to your organisation under the provisions of the Environmental Information Directive on the 8th April 2017.

My request was for
“Any information relating to the design of track, infrastructure or rolling stock for the proposed ultra high speed railway in the UK. This information may be contained in communications between the European Railway Agency and the Department for Transport of the UK government, or between the European Railway Agency and HS2 Ltd.”

I submitted the request through a web portal and it is on line at the following address:
http://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/uk_hi...

I did not receive an acknowledgement. However, the request was submitted via the following email address [email address] .

There is no evidence that the request "bounced" from that address.

The maximum time permitted for a response under the above directive has now passed.

I would be grateful for your urgent attention in this matter.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Paul Thornton
