Sasol is a global chemicals and energy company that integrates sophisticated
technologies and processes into world-scale operating facilities. As South Africa’s
largest fuel manufacturer, Sasol strives to safely and sustainably source, produce
and market a range of high-quality products globally, including the production of
green hydrogen. Currently, Sasol is studying the possibility of obtaining as much as
3,000 megawatts of renewable power to make 100,000 tons of green hydrogen for
export.
As the EU strives to replace fossil fuels with more sustainable energies such as
hydrogen, we believe that Sasol and South Africa itself could have an important
long-term role to play to 2050 and beyond.
