Dear Ms Palumbo,
In answering your request for information on "the 3.000 [million] euros
budget sent by the EU to Turkey in 2016 in order tu improve the living
conditions of refugees in turquish territory" please let us point to the
fact that it is the European Commission's services that are responsible
for the execution of the special measures to support refugees in Turkey.
The European Commission has set up the so-called "Facility for Refugees in
Turkey" as its central tool.
You will thus find the information that you are seeking on the European
Commission's website, in particular the dedicated pages of the
Directorates General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG
NEAR), Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) and European Civil Protection
and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO).
In particular you should consult DG NEAR's page on "The Facility for
Refugees in Turkey", where you may find an interactive map with the
amounts spent on different projects in Turkey:
On the same page you will also find a number of factsheets on the facility
in general and on the specific projects.
There is a presentation on two years of migration policies
which you may find on the Commission's Migration website:
For more information you should contact directly the European Commission's
specific Directorates General:
find the contact details at the bottom of each page.
Parliament considers your request as handled and the file as closed.
Please do not hesitate to come back to us, should you have any further
request for specific documents.
