I am writing to invite you to the Goldman Sachs Annual European Financials Conference, which 
will be held at the Steigenberger Grandhotel Brussels from 11-13 June.  The conference is the 
largest investor event organized by Goldman Sachs in Europe, with leaders from over 50 
European banks and insurers scheduled to speak and 400-500 institutional equity and debt 
investors expected to participate. 
The regulatory agenda for banks and insurers will feature prominently throughout the conference 
discussions.  Given your focus and work on these issues for President Barroso, we thought you or 
a colleague from the cabinet might be interested in attending for all or part of the conference.

the Goldman Sachs Seventeenth Annual European Financials Conference which 
will take place from Tuesday 11 June to Thursday 13 June at the Steigenberger 
Grandhotel Brussels in Belgium.  
As in previous years, leaders from over 50 dominant European financial institutions will 
be participating. The agenda will include a combination of plenary sessions with keynote 
speakers and 2 - 4 person panel presentations addressing current investment themes in 
the financial services industry. There will also be separate breakout sessions for Q&A, 
and companies will be hosting an agenda of one-on-ones and small group meetings.  
The executive management of Europe’s largest Insurance companies will present on 
Tuesday 11 June. On Wednesday 12 June and Thursday 13 June, the executive 
management of Europe’s largest banks and Europe’s leading regulators will present. 
Goldman Sachs has arranged for a limited number of hotel rooms at the Steigenberger 
Grandhotel Brussels. We ask that you book your room using the online booking form link 
found on our accommodation page. Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served
