Subject:
Your applications for access to documents – Ref GestDem No
2016/7253

Dear Mr Harmsen,
We refer to your letter dated 22/12/2016 in which you make a request for access to
documents in the context of glyphosate.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we were not in a position to
complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days, which
expired on 23/01/2017.
An extended time limit is needed as your application potentially concerns a particularly
wide range of documents and requires substantial research and coordination. Moreover,
some documents may originate from third parties which have to be consulted.
Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in accordance with
Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to documents. The
new time limit expires on 14/02/2017.
We apology for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
Yours faithfully,
William SLEATH
Head of Unit
