Proposal for a Council Regulation fixing for 2019 the fishing opportunities for certain 
fish stocks and groups of fish stocks applicable in the Baltic Sea 
– 
Presentation by the Commission and preliminary comments 
1.  The Commission representative gave a general presentation of the above-mentioned 
Proposal, highlighting some of its key elements. The Commission also confirmed its 
participation in the Baltic Sea Fisheries Forum (Baltfish) meetings at Director's level. 
2.  Delegations made preliminary remarks on the Proposal, on the guiding principles 
underlying the setting of TACs and on some specific stocks such as cod and herring.
