Dear Ms. Voller-Danwatch,
We refer to your e-mail dated 21/05/2019 in which you introduce a request for access to
documents, [registered on 24/05/19 under the above-mentioned reference number].
We regret to inform you that CHAFEA does not hold any documents that would correspond
to the description given in your application. CHAFEA is an Executive Agency entrusted with
the implementation of the EU Health Programme, the Consumer Programme, Better Training
for Safer Food initiative (BTSF) and the Promotion of Agriculture Products Programme; as
such, the Agency main task is the management of grants and procurement in the above
mentioned fields, while it does not deal with policy matters.
We recommend that you address your request to the competent Directorate General of the
European Commission.
As specified in Article 2(3) of Regulation 1049/2001, the right of access as defined in that
regulation applies only to existing documents in the possession of the institution.
Given that no such documents, corresponding to the description given in your application, are
held by CHAFEA, CHAFEA is not in a position to fulfil your request.
In accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation 1049/2001, you are entitled to make a
confirmatory application requesting CHAFEA to review this position.
Such a confirmatory application should be addressed within 15 working days upon receipt of
this letter to the Director of CHAFEA at the following address:
