Audit 2014-7060 of 16 June 2014 to evaluate the animal welfare controls in place at slaughter and during related operations
Recommendation
Basis of assessment
Assessment
for electric stunning of poultry as required by Regulation (EC) No 1099/2009. Between December 2014 and April 2015,
RVAs' inspectors have carried out verifications in all poultry slaughterhouses. Inspectors found all poultry slaughterhouses
to be in compliance with requirements for parameters of electric stunning.
In two slaughterhouses visited during audit No.: 2014-7060 operators have taken corrective actions itself and have changed
the parameters for electric stunning and developed relevant changes in their SOPs immediately after the audit took place.
