Dear Mr Duffy,
We refer to your applications of 12/02/2021, registered on 15/02/2021 under the above
mentioned reference numbers, by which you made a request pursuant to Regulation
1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission
documents1.
You asked for
“all correspondence concerning fish quotas between Ursula von der
Leyen, President of the European Commission and Michel Bernard Barnier, European
Commission's Head of Task Force for Relations with the United Kingdom between
1/12/2020 and 31/12/2020 relating to the EU-UK Trade Deal agreed on 24/12/2020.”
We can inform you that Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission
and Michel Barnier, Head of the Task Force for Relations with the United Kingdom,
regularly met during the above-mentioned period, but there is no correspondence
between Ursula von der Leyen and Michel Barnier concerning fish quotas pertaining to
the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
In accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation 1049/2001, you are entitled to introduce a
confirmatory application requesting the Commission to review this position.
