Under the right of access to documents, as provided for in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting information and documents on the following matters:

1. Have any RNAi-based pesticides (such as ds-RNA-spray treatment) been authorised under Regulation 1107/2009 and/or have any applications been filed and/or are currently being assessed pursuant to Regulation 1107/2009 (or any other legislation)?

2. Have any other plant protection techniques or products using new breeding technologies or biotechnologies (including new genomic techniques, precision bred organisms, gene silencing, gene driving, etc.) been authorised under Regulation 1107/2009 and/or have any applications been filed and/or are currently being assessed pursuant to Regulation 1107/2009 (or any other legislation)?

If so, please provide all relevant information and documents within the meaning of Article 3(a) of Regulation 1049/2001.

Your application for public access to documents (PAD) has been registered
as PAD 2022/140 and is being processed as quickly as possible in
accordance with [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to
documents (hereinafter “the PAD Regulation”).

acknowledged receipt of your application for public access to documents
(hereinafter “PAD application”) with EFSA’s reference PAD 2022/140, we
would like to reiterate that your application is being processed as
quickly as possible in accordance with the provisions of [1]Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001 on public access to documents (hereinafter the “PAD
Regulation”).

However, we regret to inform you that in view of the fact that EFSA is
still gathering all elements relating to the processing of your PAD
application, we have to extend the deadline by 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of the PAD Regulation. Please accept our
apologies for any inconvenience this delay may cause.
