Dear Climate Action,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request registered on 15 May 2018 under reference number GestDem 2018/2670.

My request was about seven meetings commissioner Miguel Arias Canete had with interest groups. In its reply, DG CLIMA said it had identified five documents. However, all these documents were emails written before the meeting.

I asked for all documents related to the meetings. DG CLIMA's reply suggests that during and after the meetings, no documents were created in relation to the meetings.

I find this hard to believe. Were no minutes or other records made of any of the seven meetings? Did the commissioner or one of his aides not write down a single thing during any of the seven meetings?

I therefore would like to ask the secretary-general to double-check if indeed all documents have been identified, and assess whether they can be made public as part of my request.

All the best,
Peter Teffer
