Clarification of European Certificate of Conformity for vehicles
Dear Mobility and Transport,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
I hope you can help me find documents, relative to the terms in the European Certificate of Conformity (type approval) for vehicles registration.
More specifically, I am interested in the point 27.1 of the ECOC which states in some certificates “net power”, but in other “net power (internal combustion engine)".
Are there amendments of this regulation, changing or explaining in details what “net power” in this point of the ECOC is?
According to me, the manufacturer of my vehile has written incorrect data in the European Certificate Of Conformity (type approval) of the car.
To my understanding in point 27.1 of the ECOC, the term "net power" relates to the Internal combustion engine of the vehicle. However the manufacturer has written cumulative power of the vehicle (electric + ICE enignne), resulting in me paying much much much higher tax than I should.
As far as I understand, “net power” is the ICE’s net power, and below it in the other points 27.2 , 27.3, 27.4 – is what concerns the electric motor.
Please let me know, Am I right ?
Can you quote me the terms in the EU regulations, explaining what net power is in this case?
The manufacturer refuses to acknowledge this error and this is my final attempt to search for information and resent them with evidence, before I address a lawer.
Yours faithfully,
Petar Stoychev
