Dr. Peter Clausing

Dear EFSA.public.access.to.documents,
I am quite disappointed by your lack of response to my inquiry of 09 May 2021.
I think what I asked for was clearly defined and the documents should be easily available for you. In addition I do not see any confidentiality issue, because the assessments I asked for are not related to any intellectual property and I asked for completed reports (and an information about how many there are)

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Peter Clausing

We apologise for the delay in replying to you. Please be informed that

as quickly as possible in accordance with the provisions of [47]Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001 on public access to documents (hereinafter “the PAD

However, in view of the fact that we are still assessing the accessibility

caused by this delay.

We will revert to you by 24 June 2021 at the latest.

We would like to inform you that the AsktheEU.org website you have used
for submitting your request is a third-party platform, with no link to the
institutions, agencies and bodies of the EU, including EFSA. Consequently,

Dear EFSA.public.access.to.documents,

Can you please send a useful message instead of a collection of old messages displaying nonsenese like "Please find attached the letter referenced 25015519 ... blah blah" with neither an attachment nor a link to an attachment."

Sorry for the rude reply, but I am really annoyed by your messages which seem to lead to nowhere.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Clausing,

Reference is made to your e-mail of 4 October 2021. We understand it was
difficult to retrieve the attachment to our previous e-mail sent on 1
October 2021. We are hereby enclosing it again.

Please consider that the inclusion of previous e-mail exchanges, part of a
same application for access to documents, is usual practice in EFSA.
However, in view of your request and the display on the AsktheEU.org
website which makes the follow-up difficult, we will not include them in
future communications with you.

As indicated in previous communications with you, since the AsktheEU.org
website is a third-party platform, EFSA cannot fix the display, bugs or
errors of any kind occurring as a result of the use of this platform.
Therefore, we reiterate our proposal that you provide us with an
alternative e-mail address to be used for the further processing of your
application for access to documents.

With regard to the preparation of the final reply to your application, as
indicated in the previous letter sent to you, EFSA is preparing written
material for publication which is connected to the topic of your
application. The publication of these documents is likely to take place in
the course of next week. However, it is possible that the finalisation of
the documents for publication is delayed once more and the publication is
done during the last week of October 2021. In this context, we propose to
provide you with an update on the status of your application by the end of
next week, expectantly with a final reply. We apologise once more for any
inconvenience caused by this delay.

For additional information on the processing of applications for access to
documents, you can consult EFSA's practical arrangements implementing
Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 and Articles 6 and 7 of Regulation (EC) No
1367/2006 available at the following link:

Dear European Food Safety Authority,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Combined exposure assessment of pesticides according to EFSA Guidance on risk assessement of combined exposure to multiple chemicals'.

I have been patient and part of my request is very simple, i.e. just get the information whether and how many compounds have been assessed. I understand that it may take time to provide the assessments themselves, but even that should not take 6 months.
A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/comb...

I start having doubts about the seriousness of EFSA's transparency initiative.

Yours faithfully,
Dr. Peter Clausing
