Compra Veklury
Estimado Salud y Seguridad Alimentaria,
Al amparo del derecho de acceso a documentos contemplado en los tratados de la UE, y desarrollado en el Reglamento 1049/2001, solicito los documentos que contienen la siguiente información:
- El contrato con la compañía Gilead para el suministro de 500.000 tratamientos del medicamento Veklury, nombre comercial del remdesivir, y la cantidad pagada en total o por cada uno de esos tratamientos.
- Toda la documentación estudiada para justificar el acuerdo para la compra de los 500.000 tratamientos del medicamento Veklury.
- ¿Conocía la Comisión Europea antes de la compra los resultados del ensayo clínico Solidarity realizado por la Organización Mundial de la Salud?
- ¿Se aceleró la firma del acuerdo con Gilead por iniciativa de la compañía?
- ¿Los resultados negativos de ese ensayo afectan de alguna manera al contrato con Gilead para el suministro de Veklury ahora o en el futuro? ¿Contiene el contrato alguna cláusula que permita anular la compra en caso de que el medicamento no sea efectivo?

Muy señor mío,
Nos dirigimos a usted en relación con su correo electrónico con fecha de
19/10/2020 en la que solicita el acceso a documentos, registrado el
19/10/2020 con la referencia mencionada.
Su solicitud se está tramitando actualmente. No obstante, no estaremos en
condiciones de finalizar la tramitación de la solicitud en el plazo de
quince días hábiles, que expira el 10/11/2020.
Es necesaria una prórroga del plazo, ya que los documentos solicitados
proceden de terceros, a los que se ha consultado.
Por consiguiente, debemos ampliar el plazo en quince días hábiles, de
conformidad con el artículo 7, apartado 3, del Reglamento (CE) n.º
1049/2001, relativo al acceso del público a los documentos. El nuevo plazo
expira el 1/12/2020.
