Dear Mr Jonville,

We refer to your e-mail dated 22 May 2019 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered under the above mentioned reference
number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days. A
n extended time limit is needed as your application concerns a large
number of documents and requires thorough analysis.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 8 July 2019.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Jonville,

Thank you for your message. Indeed, you are right, the deadline to reply
to your access to documents request has passed more than a month ago.

We had not expected this delay. In fact, the reason is a combination of
policy officers having holidays, and some technical/administrative issues
with redaction of parts of the documents pursuant the exception of
Regulation 1049/2001.

We apologise again for the inconvenience caused to you. We do our utmost
to finalise the reply as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Trade,

Although I know this has been a period of change in the commission, between summer holidays and the changes due to the elections, and despite your answers when I asked for internal reviews, your lack of ability to provide the documents requested as granted by the right to information is becoming very problematic as the extended deadline has expired almost two months ago.
Hence, it would be very pleasing to receive these documents by the end of the week. Otherwise I would have to file a complaint to the Ombudsman, considering your incapacity to respect my rights.

Yours faithfully,

Marco Jonville
