Correspondence on waste heat
Dear Energy,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1 – All correspondence with EuroHeat & Power and the Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants (CEWEP), as well as their affiliate members, and any PR firms representing them, with EU commissioners in which 'waste heat' is mentioned (including email, SMS, private twitter and WhatsApp) since January 2023
I would like to make clear I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis.
At no point should the Commission’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.
To the extent possible, I would prefer the documents in electronic format.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
I reserve the right to appeal.
My postal address is;
9 Comeragh Road
London, UK
Please confirm having received this application. I look forward to your reply within 15 business days, according to the regulation.
Yours faithfully,
Conor McGlone

Dear Energy,
Thanks for this.
This response does not relate to the request I made for 'correspondence on waste heat'
This is the response to my other request for 'Details of heat transition meeting'
The other request outstanding is long overdue - 'Details of meeting between between Ditte Juul Jørgensennd Mitsubishi'
Please can you advise asap as there seems to have been a mix up here.
Yours faithfully,
(2024/2107)

Dear Energy,
Can you tell me why you need 15 days? I am not asking for a review. You have mixed up your responses and I would like to know if you are working on this request 'Correspondence on waste heat' (2024/2108). You have already extended the deadline to respond to this request due 14/05/2024 until 05/06/2024. At this point you responded with a response to another of my requests (2024/2107).
Another 15 day delay with no explanation does not seem legitimate.
Please send me the response to my request for Correspondence on waste heat today. If you need longer, please provide me with reasons, as you have failed to fulfil your obligations under [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 of 30 May 2001.
Yours faithfully,
Conor McGlone

the file.
Therefore, in line with Article 8(2) of [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 we
