Digital services tax
Dear Communications Networks, Content and Technology,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I would like to request a list of all lobby meetings (including phone calls, conference calls etc) since 1 January 2019 where the EU’s Digital Services Tax proposal, or the OECD’s negotiations on a similar tax, were discussed. The list should include the names of the individuals and organisations participating; the date; the agenda; and any minutes / notes produced. I would additionally like to receive any emails or other correspondence related to proposals for a Digital Services Tax received or sent since 1 January 2019.

Your application is currently still being handled.
We noticed that in response to your closely linked parallel requests to a
number of other Commission services you have already received a number of
documents (e.g. GestDem 2020/4018).
However, for our DG we have not yet been in a position to complete the
handling of your application GestDem 2020/4017 within the time limits
foreseen.
We are trying our best to finalise our response to you speedily and to
provide it to you as soon as possible, with the resources available under
the current situation.
In this context, please be informed that the Commission has taken
precautionary measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus and

Thank you for the reply dated 25/9/2020 regarding GESTDEM 2020/4017.
I note that the reply says "Accordingly, the response of DG CONNECT concerns only the area for which DG CONNECT was lead service within the Commission. As regards the remit of DG CONNECT, we regret to inform you that we do not hold any documents that would correspond to the description given in your application."
But in fact, the scope of my initial query was about any lobby contacts that DG Connect had had regarding the Digital Services Tax. The remit of DG Connect is not relevant and I am concerned that your interpretation of my request could end up excluding some documents relevant to my request.
Please could you clarify whether there are some documents which indicate lobbying of DG Connect on the digital services tax but which have been excluded from the scope of your answer?
