To the Access to Documents Team, Secretariat General of the European Commission

Dear sir or madam.

In an email from you, dated 20 September, I have been asked to clarify my request as described in my email to you of 19 September on meetings between the Computer and Communications Association, Uber, the European Internet Forum AND "Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, members of her cabinet or representatives of DG CNECT". You point out correctly that Mariya Gabriel took office on 1 July 2017, which leaves the request unclear, as I am asking for documents from the period 1 January till today.

My apologies. It is the post and the time frame that counts, not the person. In other words, the request would cover Günther Oettinger in the period 1 January 2015 till the end of his term as Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, as well as Andrus Ansip in his term as Commissioner for the same area.

As for the remainder of the request, I believe it to be sufficiently precise. I have filed quite a few requests over the years to obtain all communication between Commissioners and DGs and specific external associations or companies, and in terms of wording I don't see this one as unclear. However, I am prepared to take another look, should you feel uncertain about other parts of the text, of course.

Yours faithfully,

Kenneth Haar
