Documents relating to funds allocated to the Greek Ministry of Defence
Dear Migration and Home Affairs,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1. Documents signing off AMIF and ISF funding allocations for the Greek Ministry of Defence in 2016.
2. Correspondence concerning humanitarian funding allocated to the Greek Ministry of Defence in 2016.
3. Minutes of meetings held between European Commission officials and Greek Ministry of Defence officials relating to the 2015/2016 migrant crisis.

We refer to your e-mail dated 26/10/2016 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 27/10/2016 under the above mentioned
reference number.
In what concerns the first request, we enclose a copy of the following
documents:
Ø 2016 Annual Working Program for the Asylum Migration and Integration
Fund;
Ø 2016 Annual Working Program for the Internal Security Fund – Borders
and Visa;
Ø 4 Award Decisions related to grants awarded in 2016 to the Greek
Ministry of Defense;
Ø Factsheet on the EU financing of Greece for managing the refugees
crisis
You may reuse the documents requested free of charge for non-commercial
and commercial purposes provided that the source is acknowledged, that you
do not distort the original meaning or message of the documents. Please
note that the Commission does not assume liability stemming from the
reuse.
In what concerns the second and third requests, your application is
currently being handled. However, we will not be in a position to complete
the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days,
which expires on 21/11/2016.
An extended time limit is needed as your application concerns documents
held by different Services which must be consulted.
Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 15/12/2016.
We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
