ECB employees by nationality

Die Anfrage wurde abgelehnt durch Europäische Zentralbank.

Dear European Central Bank,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am writing to submit a Freedom of Information request regarding national equality representation in your institution of the European Union. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible.

I would like to know the percentage of permanent employees of the ECB by their nationality.

Please note, I define employees as including all staff employed within the institution, including but not limited to, directors, managers, translators, secretaries and support staff, including temporary workers.

I would like to know the following information:

(a) The percentage of permanent employees of the European Central Bank by nationality.
(b) The percentage of permanent employees of the European Central Bank employed under the Single Supervisory mechanism (SSM) by nationality.

If all countries is not possible, please provide information for Eurozone member countries.
And, if possible please provide information by different sections, divisions and directorates.

If you need further clarification, please contact me by email. My preferred format to receive the information is electronically, but I can accept hard copies.

Some parts of this request may be easier to answer than others, and in such case I would ask that you release available data as soon as possible rather than delay the entire request.

If FOI requests of a similar nature have been asked already, please include your responses to those requests. If the costs of processing this request exceed the limit in the Act, please advise what information you are able to supply within the cost limit.

I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request. I look forward to your response within 20 working days, as outlined by the statute.

I believe this information is made public by European Commission and some other European institutions but I cannot find it from ECB. If such information has already been made public, please provide its source.

Also, I request that you send me the information in an accessible format (.csv file, .txt, .xls, .xlsx). Please, contact me if you have any questions or suggestions regarding this application.

Yours faithfully,
Peter Benett
