Dear Mr Teffer,

We refer to your e-mail dated 04/06/2019 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 04/06/2019 under the above mentioned
reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 26/06/2019.

An extended time limit is needed as your application concerns documents
held by different Services which must be consulted.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 17/07/2019.

We apologize for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours sincerely,

DG GROW – Access to documents team

Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and
SMEs

Dear Madam, Sir,

I refer to my access to documents request filed on the 4th of June 2019, registered the same day under reference number GestDem 2019/3239.

Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents stipulates that the Commission should have handled the application within 15 working days.

On 25 June 2019, you informed me the Commission needed an additional 15 working days, as per the regulation.

On 17 July 2019, yesterday, the Commission missed this extended deadline.

Please handle my application without any further delay, to prevent being in breach of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001.

All the best,
Peter Teffer
