the names of the organisations that experts assembled to assist the European Commission with the evaluation of proposals submitted for funding under the European Defence Fund work for or are affiliated with.
We hereby acknowledge receipt of your application for access to documents,
which was registered by EDA on 25 March 2022.
In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to
European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, applicable to EDA
in accordance with Article 30 of Council Decision 2015/1835 of 12 October
2015, your application will be handled within 15 working days. The time
limit will expire on 15 April 2022. In case this time limit needs to be
extended, you will be informed in due course.

We refer to your e-mail of 23 March 2022, wherein you submit a request for
access to documents in accordance with Regulation (EC) 1049/2001.
After having consulted the relevant EDA directorate dealing with the
subject matter of your request, we regret to inform you that EDA does not
hold any documents that would correspond to the description given in your
The European Defence Agency and its experts are not involved in and do not
provide any assistance to the evaluation of proposals under the European
Defence Fund. As the evaluation process is organised and implemented
entirely by the European Commission (DG DEFIS).
As specified in Article 2(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, the right of
access as defined in that regulation applies only to existing documents in
the possession of the institution. Given that no such documents,
corresponding to the description given in your application, are held by
EDA, the latter is not in a position to fulfil your request.
Means of redress
In accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation 1049/2001, you are entitled
to make a confirmatory application requesting EDA to review its position.
Such a confirmatory application should be addressed within 15 working days
