Dear Ms Mauro,

Subject:       Your application for access to documents – Ref GestDem No
2021/2359

We refer to your e-mail  dated 15/04/2021 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 15/04/2021 under the above mentioned
reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 06/05/2021.

An extended time limit is needed as your application concerns a big
document which has to be examined.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 01/06/2021.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours Sincerely,

Fisma Acces Documents Team

Dear [email address],

According to Article 7.3 of Regulation 1049 on access to EU documents: In exceptional cases, for example in the event of an application relating to a very long document or to a very large number of documents, the time-limit provided for in paragraph 1 may be extended by 15 working days, provided that the applicant is notified in advance and that detailed reasons are given.

May we know in detail why this request demanded an extension of the time limit considering that all of the requested documents were recently reviewed and releaed to another individual?

Yours sincerely,

Christiana Maria Mauro
