Information Environment Assessment on Covid-19 disinformation

Die Anfrage wurde abgelehnt durch Europäischer Auswärtiger Dienst.

Dear European External Action Service,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- On April 24, the EEAS published a report under the name "EEAS SPECIAL REPORT UPDATE: Short Assessment of Narratives and Disinformation around the COVID-19/Coronavirus Pandemic". Politico's Brussels Playbook had previously, on April 21, reported on a report by the EEAS dealing with Chinese influence on Covid-19 disinformation, which sounded very similar to the published report. According to reporting by The New York Times, the Financial Times and other media, the document referred to in the Politico story diverges in significant ways from the published version. According to quotes by an EEAS spokesperson in Euractiv today, these are "in fact two different documents", the so far not public version being an "Information Environment Assessment". I would like to request this Information Environment Assessment and all previously not published versions of it.

Yours faithfully,

Alexander Fanta
