Dear Commission,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- All documents (including memos, minutes, e-mail, contracts, etc.) related to the agreement between the Commission, SAP and T-Systems on 31 July, 2020 on the development and deployment of a software platform for the cross-border exchange of coronavirus warnings (interoperability gateway for contact tracing apps)
- All internal documents of the Commission (e.g. working group meeting minutes, memos, e-mails, etc.) and exchanges with member states and external stakeholders (i.e. Google, Apple, etc.) on the interoperability of contact tracing apps

Dear Sir,
We refer to your e-mail below dated 2 September 2020 in which you make a
request for access to documents, registered on the same date under the
above-mentioned reference number.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 24 September 2020.
An extended time limit is needed in order to retrieve the documents
requested.
Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 15 October 2020.
We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

We refer to your above-referenced requests for access to documents under
Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European
Parliament, Council and Commission documents (OJ L 145, 31.05.2001, pages
43).
Your request is currently being handled. However, in view of the number
and nature of the requests for access to documents the Legal Service is
dealing with, and given the extraordinary situation due to the
Corona-virus, our services are presently working with limited resources.
In this context, we will not be in a position to complete the processing
of your requests within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires
today, 24 September 2020.
For this reason, we will need to extend the time limit by 15 working days,
in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001. The new
time limit expires on 15 October 2020.
