Interractions between the European Commission and the industry on comitology reform

Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- list of meetings held between officials/and or members of the European Commission and industry representatives, including the biotechnology, seeds, pesticides, agri-food and pharmaceutical industry, between now and 1 January 2016 on the issue of the review of the comitology regulation – notably on the Proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) No 182/2011 laying down the rules and general principles concerning mechanisms for control by Member States of the Commission’s exercise of implementing powers - 2017/035 (COD)

- minutes or notes of these meetings

- copies of emails or other correspondence between officials/and or members of the European Commission and industry representatives, including the biotechnology, seeds, pesticides, agri-food and pharmaceutical industry between now and 1 January 2016 on the issue of the review of the comitology regulation – notably on the Proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) No 182/2011 laying down the rules and general principles concerning mechanisms for control by Member States of the Commission’s exercise of implementing powers - 2017/035 (COD)

reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 24/04/2017.

An extended time limit is needed as your application concerns documents
held by different Services which must be consulted and as part of the
documents requested originate from third parties which also have to be
consulted.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 17/05/2017.
