Italian detention centres for migrants

Generaldirektion Inneres Die angefragten Informationen waren nicht vorhanden.

Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1) data on the total number of Italian centres of detention for migrants, their total capacity, and the minimum and maximum periods of detention in these facilities;
2) data on the current migrant population in detention in these centres, the number of people detained who were returned to their countries (or third countries), and the average cost per detainee.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any clarification in regard to any aspect of my request.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,
Martina Tombini
