JRO / NRO by Frontex 2020-2024
Dear European Border and Coast Guard Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Data of Joint Return Operations (JROs) and National Return Operations (NROs) coordinated by Frontex between January 2020 and July 2024.
In particular, I am requesting a list of all flights that were conducted as part of the JROs and NROs within this period, containing the details of:
– Date of departure of the flight
– Flight number(s)
– Organising Member State(s)
– Participating Member State(s)
– Departure country and airport
– Destination country and airport
– If applicable, layover country and airport
– Flight schedule
– Total number of returnees involved
– Nationality of all returnees involved
– Number of accompanying staff/monitors/observers involved
– Cost of each JRO/NRO
– Type of operation
– All documents, contracts, agreements and contractual statements; operational plans; and (after-operation phase) evaluations and reports (Final Return Operation Reports) related to Return Operations for the years 2019-2024 in which the Netherlands was involved.
