Dear Madam, Sir,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request which the EEAS has registered under reference number 2021/069.

I had asked for:
- Any application from Mr Kasper Zeuthen to take up employment by the US Chamber of Commerce, as required by the Staff Regulations

- The European Commission's decision regarding Mr Zeuthen's application

- Any communication between Mr Zeuthen and the European Commission (e-mails, notes of conversations, etc) about his employment

The context of my request being that Mr Kasper Zeuthen worked for the Delegation of the European Union to the United States until March 2021, and that same month, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced Mr Zeuthen " will serve as Vice President, Communications, with a focus on international affairs, trade policy and media relations".

The EEAS informed me that "the EEAS does not hold any document matching your request". I would like you to double-check if this is true. If it is, I would like you to acknowledge what this means: that Mr Zeuthen has taken up new employment in conflict with the Staff Regulations.

After all: "If a member of the EU staff wishes to leave his or her institution and begin a new job within 2 years, he or she must inform the Commission in order to obtain prior authorisation." (https://ec.europa.eu/info/about-european...)

Sincerely,
Peter Teffer

application requesting for a review of our reply, dated 28 April 2021,

Your confirmatory application has the same reference number 2021/069 as
the initial one. Please refer to this number in any further
correspondence.

In accordance with the Regulation, you will receive a reply within 15
