List of meps voting id matched with CODICT numbers

Die Anfrage wurde abgelehnt durch Europäisches Parlament.

Dear European Parliament,

You already publish voting records in xml format. Unfortunately, the format you use is missing a crucial information: the CODICT id of the MEP, as used in pretty much every other xml you publish.
for instance that document:
<PoliticalGroup.Member.Name MepId="6382">Arnautu</PoliticalGroup.Member.Name><PoliticalGroup.Member.Name MepId="6394">Bay</PoliticalGroup.Member.Name><PoliticalGroup.Member.Name MepId="6405">Bilde</PoliticalGroup.Member.Name><PoliticalGroup.Member.Name MepId="6387">Boutonnet</PoliticalGroup.Member.Name><PoliticalGroup.Member.Name MepId="6391">Briois</PoliticalGroup.Member.Name><PoliticalGroup.Member.Name MepId="6765">Colombier</PoliticalGroup.Member.Name>

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

list of meps with both the id used in the rollcalls and the CODICT id as available everyone else for the MEPS from 2014 until today.

Yours faithfully,

Xavier Dutoit

Dear Mr Dutoit

Further to your request regarding " list of meps with both the id used in
the rollcalls and the CODICT id as available everyone else for the MEPS
from 2014 until today", please note that a list with such requirements
does not exist as such.

However, the information exists even if not as a document but in other
formats. Therefore, the European Parliament provides several data sets in
an XML format in order to enable citizens to use the information and
create their own custom-made documents.

In addition, please note that an application for access to documents that
would require the institution to create a new document, even if that
document were based on information already appearing in existing documents
held by it, does not fall within the scope of Regulation 1049/2001. This
is confirmed by Article 10(3) of Regulation 1049/2001 that stipulates that
documents to which access is granted have to be supplied in an existing
version and format.

On this basis, Parliament considers your request as handled and the file
closed. Please do not hesitate to come back to us, should you have any new
request for specific Parliament documents.

Kind regards

European Parliament

Dear AccesDocs,

Thank you to clarify that this information doesn't exist as a document but in other formats.

I have found documents and several dataset that contains the CODICT number of the MEP, some (rollcalls) that contain the "votingid" of the MEP, but I haven't found yet one that would contain both, even for some MEPs (I understand there isnt' a full list).

Perhaps you could point me to such a document?
The closest I found is to use the attendance list of the day (that contains the CODICT number and the name) and the rollcalls (that contains the voteid and the name) but unfortunately, they aren't using the same format for the name so you might have only one last name in one and the full name in the other, and given that some MEPs have the same lastname, I haven't been able to use this to match the two dataset.

Yours sincerely,

xavier dutoit
