Meetings held by President Tajani with Google
Dear European Parliament,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
For the period between 1 January 2018 to date:
- a list of all lobby meetings held by President Tajani with Google or its intermediaries. The list should include: date, individuals attending and organisational affiliation, as well as the issues discussed;
- all minutes and other reports of these meetings;
- all correspondence, including attachements (i.e. any emails, correspondence or telephone call notes) between the President Tajani and his Cabinet and Facebook or any intermediaries representing its interests; and
- all documents prepared for the purpose of the meeting and/or exchanged during the course of the meeting.

Dear Mr Enrique Ordiales,
In reply to your request, Parliament informs you that, to this day, the
President of the European Parliament and its cabinet have not had meetings
with Google or Google's representatives.
The President and mebers of his cabinet met with Mark Zuckerberg from
Facebook on 22 May 2018. A short recording of the meeting was published

Parliament identified written correspondence relevant to your application:
a letter from the President dated 20 March 2018, as well as another one
dated 6 April 2018, and the Facebook email sent in reply to the former
letter. Facebook did not reply in writing to the letter of 18 April, but
it was discussed on the phone.
No further registered records exist of contacts between the Office of the
President and Facebook.
Please also find hereinafter the link to the minutes of the Conference of
Presidents meeting of 12 April 2018. The invitation to Mr Zuckerberg was
discussed under item 4.4.:
