National airlines used in migrant return operations

Generaldirektion Inneres Die angefragten Informationen waren nicht vorhanden.

Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

DG Home director Matthias Ruete in LIBE on 11 December 2016 said that some third countries "actually request that returns only take place on the national airline. We have consulates, which to a certain extent, advise their nationals on procedures in order to prolong their stay in the European Union."

I am requesting documents that provide a detailed account of all the airlines (names, date of flight, flight number, departure and destination) used in return operations to third countries since the start of the year.

My postal address is:

EUobserver c/o Nikolaj Nielsen
Rue Montoyer 18B
1000 Brussels
Belgium

Yours faithfully,

Nikolaj Nielsen

Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

Please note that Mr Matthias Ruete had made the statements on 5 December at the LIBE committee and not on 11 December as I had initially written.

Yours faithfully,

Nikolaj Nielsen
