Dear European Police Office,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Information that would explain
1 What was the purpose, remit and terms of reference of the
2 What dates it ran
3 What results it achieved in terms of number of arrests, number charged, number of convictions and for what offences for each or any other measure of success
4 Who the Police officer was in charge and how many officers were on the operation
5 Why the operation was instigated
6 Where the operation was run from and what area did it cover
7 Why was the name chosen and whether it had always had that name or whether there were connected operations
8 Where this information is now kept, and in what form -physical or
9 When is the information due to be disposed of?
10 Have you got a child protection unit or equivalent? If so how many equivalent full time officers work on it?
Has this number increased or decreased since last year?
Dear Mr Welsh,
In order to deal with your request, we would require further details. Specifically,
- could you elaborate on "Operation Hamlet" in respect of providing information that will help us identify which operation you are referring to?
- could you elaborate on what you mean by where "this information" is now kept?
Once we have received your specification, we will be in a position to commence with an assessment of your submission.
G24 - EU & International Law
Dear G24 EU & International Law,
Apologies for not being clear enough - I am new to this site.
A link is here http://www.premierdefensegroup.com/sex-c....
I also see from this is that the US side of the operation may have been called Operation Hamlet - i was asking about the EU side of the Operation and the Danish side from this link
What I meant by where the information is located, i meant hard copy eg in x Police Station in Oslo, or storage facility owned by xx in yyy.
The rationale behind the question is because much information goes "missing", destroyed or lost by corruption or incompetence when organistions change name or cease, and in case it does I want some better idea than the information is somewhere in the EU
