Policy dialogues EU-China Partnership

Die Anfrage war erfolgreich.

Dear European External Action Service,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

I am doing research about the approximately 56 policy dialogues between the EU and China.
So far I can not find any information online on the policy dialogues listed below .
I am mainly looking for joint statements, final reports (of meetings), press releases and Memoranda of Understanding produced by or concerning these dialogues.

These dialogues are represented in the "EU-China Dialogue Architecture" map, which is availabe at the website of the EU Delegation to China.

Data about the remaining 34 policy dialogues was available online. Nonetheless nothing (substantial) was found on these 22. Only cross references by other sources. I also wondered why this is the case?

Sorry for this big request. I hope it doesn't take too much of your precious time.

The missing policy dialogues:

1. Trade defense instrument
2. Market Economy Status Working Group
3. High Tech Working Group
4. Dialogue on Food Safety and consumer protection
5. Dialogue/WG on Intellectual Property Rights (started in 2006)
6. Regular exchanges on sanitary and phytosanitary standards
7. Macroeconomic dialogue
8. Financial Services Dialogue
9. Sustainable Development Task Force
10. Rural Development Dialogue
11. EU China Trade and Investment Policy Dialogue
12. Political Directors Dialogue
13. Regular Dialogue on security and defense policy (inception: 2012-09)
14. Dialogue on African issues
15. Dialogue on development
16. Crisis Management Consultation
17. dialogue on Latin America and Caribbean
18. Meetings of EUSRs and special envoys
19. Dialogue on Asian Affairs
20. EU-China Task force on Cyber Issues
21. EU China Policy Dialogue on cultural affairs
22. Human Rights Dialogue

Yours faithfully,

Jan

Dear Sir,

With reference to your request for “ joint statements, final reports (of
meetings), press releases and Memoranda of Understanding produced by or
concerning” the specific EU-China dialogues entitled “ Sustainable
Development Task Force” and “Dialogue on Development”, and following
verification with our EU Delegation in China, the material you are looking
for is not available. One reason is that those specific dialogues may have
had a very short live span and met only once for a specific purpose.

Yours sincerely,
