Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the document identified as SGS 21 / 004805.

This document concerns a letter from Council Pres. Charles Michel to Ms. Dolores Montserrat, chair of PETI committee in relation to a number of petitions that were raised. The letter is dated 11 November 2021 and was forwarded to a number of the petitioners by the PETI secretariat.

Dear Mr Lee,

 

The deadline for replying to your application concerning public access to
documents under [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 registered on 17.12.2021
expires today.

 

However, the consultations with regard to the analysis of all legal
aspects of the document concerned by your request requires more time than
expected, so that Parliament must exceptionally extend the time limit
provided by Article 7(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 by a further 15
working days in accordance with Article 7(3) of that Regulation in order
to reply to your application.
