Recipients of the Return Fund

Generaldirektion Inneres Die angefragten Informationen waren nicht vorhanden.

Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

All recipient projects of the Return Fund (2008-2013) including unique project numbers, project descriptions, start and end dates, recipients (if possible including
NUTS3 localization) and money awarded. If possible also send evaluation reports of the projects.

I am aware that there is a project database here:
ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs/financing/fundings/projects/index_en.htm#/c_

however the database seems incomplete, since Austria claims to have received money from the return fund, but no projects in Austria can be found in the above mentioned database.

Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

Thanks for your answer concerning the Return Fund recipients. I do understand that most of it was managed by the individual MS. However, I do believe there must be a list of all projects that were supported in the fund. Would it be possible to obtain that list?

Yours faithfully,

Michael Bauer

Generaldirektion Inneres

Dear Mr Bauer,

As mentioned in our earlier reply, the Return Fund is implemented mainly
through shared management which means that the Fund each Member State
implements Fund at national level. Therefore the list of projects financed
by the Return Fund, under each annual programme, in each of the
participating Member States, is published by the Responsible Authority in
the respective Member State. So for Austria, the list of projects
co-financed under the Fund is published on the following website:
[1]http://www.bmi.gv.at/cms/BMI_Fonds/eu_fo...
For other Member States the contact details can be found in the 'funding
map' on DG Home's website:
[2]http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs/fin...

With best regards,
DG Home, unit E2
