Dear EASA,

I hereby submit a confirmatory application.

I find the UAP topic relevant since it is EASA who is managing the EASA Occurrence Database.

According to Regulation (EU) No 376/2014 occurrence reports should be stored in databases which should be compatible with the European Coordination Centre for Aircraft Incident Reporting Systems (ECCAIRS). Here it is relevant to mention that I’m personally aware that the Unknown Airborne Object category exists in ECCAIRS.

In the Annual Safety Review from 2021, EASA addresses Airspace infringements. In 2014, it appeared on page 119 that in the period 2010-2014, more than 20,000 Unauthorized Airspace Penetration incidents had been registered. Please be aware that UFOs, UAPs etc. might also be registered/addressed in the system as infringement, incidents, airprox, unknown aerial vehicles etc. I therefore expect that all UAP related information is included. In case there are registrations where you are uncertain about it being an indication of something unidentified/unknown operating in the airspace, please include these episodes too.

To make sure that there are no misunderstanding regarding what I mean by files/documents, then I also mean the following should be included: registration notes/ investigation notes/ research and analysis documents/ written correspondence and everything else which Article 3(a) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 includes in its definition of a document.

Best regards,
Sebastian Kvist
