Dear European Border and Coast Guard Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Final Investigation Report of the Frontex RPAS (Heron 1) Accident which occured on teh 24/08/2023 (south-east of Crete).
In particular, the Final Investigation Report is referred in the letter Ref. Ares(2023)7835960 17/11/2023 signed by Mr Hans Nielsen (Executive Director, Directorate B of Frontex):
'The preliminary findings of the Contractor operating the RPAS show as primary cause of the incident a technical failure of the specific engine installed on the crashed aircraft and this has been confirmed in the final investigation report as well. '
