Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in relation to my access to documents request to remind you that I have not received yet an acknowledgement of receipt even though the 15 days for answering the request have elapsed.

Article 7(1) of the Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, establishes that “An application for access to a document shall be handled promptly. An acknowledgement of receipt shall be sent to the applicant. Within 15 working days from registration of the application, the institution shall either grant access to the document (..) or, in a written reply, state the reasons for the total or partial refusal.(…)”

Since over 15 days have passed since I submitted my request, I would therefore like to know whether you plan to send a response shortly?

Yours faithfully,
Paca Fraile

Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,

Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,

I have yet to hear from you regarding my request for access to EU documents.

I am submitting a formal complaint under both Regulation 1049/2001 and the Code of Good Administrative Behaviour on the failure to either acknowledge/register my request and the failure to respond within the stipulated time frames of Regulation 1049/2001.

I look forward to receiving an update about the status of my request immediately and at most within 10 working days.

Best

Yours faithfully,

Paca Fraile
