Unaccompanied minors
Dear European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders (FRONTEX),
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
The number of unaccompanied minors claiming asylum in each individual EU member state for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and the first half of 2014.
I would kindly ask you to provide a breakdown of the data by country of provenance and by age and gender of the minors seeking asylum.
I would prefer to receive the information in an Excel format.
Yours faithfully,
Matteo Civillini
Dear European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders (FRONTEX),
By law, I should have received a response to my FOI request regarding 'unaccompanied minors' by June 25th.
The deadline has now passed and I have received no further information from you.
Please inform me when I might expect a response as this request is now overdue.
Yours faithfully,
Matteo Civillini
Dear European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders (FRONTEX),
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders (FRONTEX)'s handling of my FOI request 'Unaccompanied minors'.
I should have received a response from you about three weeks ago, but I haven't even got an acknowledgement of my request yet.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: http://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/unacc...
Yours faithfully,
Matteo Civillini

Subject: FW: access to information request - Unaccompanied minors
Dear Matteo
First of all I would like to apologies for not getting back to you sooner
but your request ended up in a wrong folder by mistake.
Frontex does not have statistics on the number of unaccompanied minors
claiming asylum in individual member states.
The only information on asylum applications included in our risk analysis
reports is an aggregated number of asylum applications submitted in the EU
by nationality (Annual Risk Analysis Report 2014 p. 76
[3]http://frontex.europa.eu/publications/?c... ).
I would suggest you contact European Asylum Support Office or consult
Eurostat databases.
Kind regards
Ewa Moncure
