Betreff: Exchange of views with Gas TSOs
Dear Mrs Nelen,
The gas TSOs ONTRAS, Open Grid Europe, GASCADE and bayernets (operating the
majority of the German gas grid) follow with great interest the EU Commission’s plans
for a hydrogen economy. After last year’s kick-off with the hydrogen strategy, it is now
time to transform the plans into legislative proposals. For us the development of a
hydrogen infrastructure based on repurposed natural gas pipelines is of particular
interest. How should hydrogen pipelines be regulated and how does a sustainable
framework for financing hydrogen pipelines look like are just some questions which need
to be addressed.
The management of the four TSOs (board level) would like to talk with you about your
ideas and discuss with you challenges in developing a European hydrogen grid
connecting consumption centres and demand centres.
We would be delighted if you would be available for an exchange of views with our
management in the coming weeks.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
bayernets | GASCADE | OGE | ONTRAS
