Dear Mr. Lee, 
I  refer  to  your  e-mail  of  1  December  2021,  registered  on  the  same  day,  in  which  you 
submit a confirmatory application in accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 
1049/2001  regarding  public  access  to  European  Parliament,  Council  and  Commission 
documents1 (hereafter ‘Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001’).  
Your confirmatory application was submitted in relation to your initial application of 15 
October 2021, in which you requested access to the following documents: 
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 
1049/2001,  I  am  requesting  all  documents  relating  to  or  referencing  PETI  Petition 
1470/2020. 

I  would  also  expect  that  responsive  documents  would  include  opinions  and  views 
expressed by national supervisory authorities / member states on the matter.

As  you  did  not  receive  any  initial  reply  from  the  Directorate-General  for  Financial 
Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union within the statutory time limits,

In the meantime,  the  Directorate-General  for  Financial Stability,  Financial  Services and 
Capital Markets Union sent you its initial reply on 10 December 20212. 
Against  this  background,  the  Secretariat-General  will  close  your  confirmatory 
application. 
You remain entitled to submit a new confirmatory application in accordance with Article 
7  of  Regulation  (EC)  No  1049/2001,  should  you  wish  to  request  a  review  of  the  initial 
reply  of  the  Directorate-General  for  Financial  Stability,  Financial  Services  and  Capital 
Markets Union of 6 December 2021. 
Such  a  confirmatory  application  should  be  addressed  within  15  working  days  upon 
receipt  of  the  letter  to  the  Secretariat-General  of  the  Commission  at  the  following
