Main messages:  
Following  introductions  by  President  Macron,  Chancellor  Scholz,  President  von  der 
Leyen and President Michel, ERT CEOs provided comments.  
Main messages noted (with a focus on energy):  
- 
All CEOs said that Europe now comes first, business second.  
- 
Need to use the next 9 months to be prepared for next winter in terms of energy.  
- 
Now  is  the  moment  to  go  for  a  real  Energy  Union,  including  a  true  European 
hydrogen market and cross-border interconnectors.  
- 
Need to speed up permitting for renewables.  
- 
Integral link with digital agenda.  
President  von  der  Leyen  left  after  a  bit  more  than  one  hour  in  order  to  catch  the  train 
back to Brussels.
