We  refer  to  your  request  addressed  to  the  Commission  to  access  documents,  dated 
7/04/2022,  registered  on  7/04/2022  under  the  following  reference  number:  GESTDEM 
2022/2051.  
Please find enclosed documents falling within the scope of  your request,  namely copies 
of correspondence since 1 February 2022 between President Von der Leyen, and/or her 
Cabinet  members  with  representatives  from  the  oil  and  gas  industry,  energy  industrial 
users,  hydrogen  and  biomethane  industry,  trade  groups  and/or  lobby/PR  firms  in  which 
the EU’s response to the war in Ukraine, particularly the REPower EU Communication, 
was  discussed,  as  well  as  copies  of  documents  relevant  to  meetings  held  with  those 
organisations including presentations and policy papers.  
Please  note  that  in  line  with  Article  4(1)(b)  of  Regulation  (EC)  No  1049/2001,  in  the 
attached  document,  all  personal  data  has  been  redacted.  In  your  request,  you  do  not 
express  any  particular  interest  to  have  access  to  these  personal  data  nor  do  you  put 
forward  any  arguments  to  establish  the  necessity  to  have  the  data  transmitted  for  a 
specific purpose in the public interest.  
In case you disagree with this position, you are entitled, in accordance with Article 7(2) 
of  Regulation  (EC)  No  1049/2001,  to  submit  a  confirmatory  application  requesting  the 
Commission to review this position. Such a confirmatory application should be addressed 
within  15  working  days  upon  receipt  of  this  letter  to  the  Secretariat-General  of  the
