Subject: Request for a meeting on 14 or 15 September 2022 in Brussels
Dear Mr. Stengg,
I am reaching out to let you know that on 11 July 2022 Oracle announced the launch of
its new EU Oracle Sovereign Cloud (https://blogs.oracle.com/cloud-infrastructure/post/introducing-
oracles-sovereign-cloud-regions-for-the-european-union). The solution will go live early 2023 and is
quite different to the other sovereign cloud offerings on the European market. It will, for example,
cover the full range of solutions from IaaS to PaaS and SaaS. Our first two
EU Sovereign Cloud Regions will be in Germany and Spain, with others to follow.
Oracle would like to use the opportunity of this announcement to see whether you would be
available for a meeting on Wednesday 14 or Thursday 15 September to present Oracle’s EU
cloud strategy - and especially its new EU Oracle Sovereign Cloud solution - and answer any
questions you may. The objective is to ensure that Oracle will develop a good product that will
answer all the expectations and ensure that it accommodates all the data privacy, cyber security and
sovereignty requirements in the EU.
Our experts who would like to meet with you are:
Their bios are attached. I plan to accompany them to the meeting.

For your information, we already met with DGIT in June and we will have another meeting with
them in September. We also plan to meet with DG CNECT, DG JUST as well as with the Cabinets of
Vice President Breton, Vice President Schinas – as well as with ENISA.
We hope that it will be possible for you to find time for a meeting in your very busy agenda and look
forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
