Subject: Meeting between  Members  of  the  Cypriot  Parliament  and  the  delegation  of the
PEGA Committee during its upcoming fact-finding mission to Cyprus, from 1st to
2nd November 2022
Dear Madam,
As you probably know, the PEGA Committee of the Euopean Parliament has received authorisation to
hold a mission to Cyprus and Greece 1-4 November 2022, arriving in Nicosia 1 November 2022 in the
evening.
The Members taking part in the mission have expressed their strong interest in meeting with fellow
members of the Cypriot Parliament. The questions of specific interest for the Members of the PEGA
Committee are those relating to export licensing of dual-use products but also fundamental rights issues
relating to the use of spyware in the Member States.
We propose to schedule this meeting the 2 November in the morning, at a time that could be precised
subsequently.
We would be grateful if you could provide us the necessary support to make such meeting possible,
which should lead to a friendly and fruitful exchange of views between law-makers mobilized around
the same issue.
The secretariat of the PEGA committee remains available for any complementary information you may
need.
