Subject: Request for a meeting with the PEGA Committee during its upcoming fact-finding
mission to Nicosia, Cyprus on 1st and 2nd November 2022
Dear Chair,
As you may already know, a delegation of the inquiry committee on “
Pegasus” and other
spywares (PEGA) from the European Parliament will be in Cyprus 1 and 2 November, arriving
late afternoon 1 November.
The members of this delegation will be very happy to meet with counterpart members of the
Cypriot Parliament, especially with those who have a link with the core issue of their mandate,
like members of the Legal Affairs, Justice and Public Order committee of the Cypriot
Parliament.
I would thus like to inquire whether it would be possible for the PEGA mission to meet with
you and Members of your Committee for an exchange of different aspects of the use of
spyware, preferably in the morning 2 November.
Looking forward to your response and hoping to meet you during our mission to Cyprus.
Best regards,
Jeroen Lenaers
Chair of the PEGA committee
