I checked with Cabinet Ferreira and best option would be 21/11 pm or 22/11 (15h-17h) for a Webex meeting.
Please let me know if one of these dates is convenient and I will send out the Webex link.
Kind regards,

Dear
Thank you very much for your e-mail and suggestion. I think that would be very convenient to have
in the meeting.
As to the proposed slots, I just confirmed with Galp and on the 17th and 18th the team will be on COP, and
they ask me to see with you if the meeting could be on the week after, 21/11 - 25/11.
Thank you so much,

Dear
On behalf of Commissioner Breton, thank you for your invitation.
Unfortunately, due to the very busy schedule of the Commissioner and given the important workload,
I am afraid he cannot respond positively to your meeting request.
However, such a meeting could be envisaged with Joan Canton and
, member in charge
of those topics in his Cabinet.
Following dates could work out for their agenda’s:
15/11: am
17/11: between 14h and 17h
18/11: between 10h30-12h30
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Cabinet of Commissioner Thierry Breton

Dear Sir, Madam,
I am writing you on behalf of Aurora, a joint venture set-up
by a Galp and Northvolt to develop a sustainable lithium
conversion facility in Portugal. This partnership is a once-in-
a-generation opportunity to reposition Europe as a leader in an
industry that will be vital to bringing down global CO2
emissions, in line with European and Portuguese climate-change
priorities.
In the context of the future European Critical Raw Materials
Act, in which consultation Aurora is participating, and knowing
the importance lithium conversion for the EU strategic
autonomy, Aurora’s CEO,
with
Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Northvolt
and
Head of Lithium Battery
Value Chain at Galp, would like to request a meeting with the
Commissioner Thierry Breton to discuss the alignment of
this projects with EU’s policies developments and the
possible means within EU reach to support the development
of a battery value chain.
Galp and Northvolt's proven track records, complementary
experience and expertise are expected to be further enhanced
with the establishment of key partnerships along the value chain,
namely in securing the supply of high quality spodumene
concentrate from key suppliers.
The plant in Setúbal, which will be one of Europe’s largest and
the most sustainable, is set to have an initial annual
production capacity between 28,000 and 35,000 tons of
battery-grade lithium hydroxide – a critical material required
by the lithium-ion battery manufacturing industry, which is
expected to grow significantly by 2030. The plant will use a
proven conversion process, leveraging recent process
improvements and technologies to increase its sustainability and
efficiency. Additionally, the JV is seeking to enable the use of
green energy to power the conversion process, thereby
minimizing reliance on the conventional natural-gas powered
approach.
This would be an opportunity to discuss Aurora’s ambitions
regarding lithium conversion, battery recycling and also the
topic of the access to EU funding, support measures to
European investments and to European produced lithium
batteries.
We thank you very much in advance for your attention to this
request.
